There are many ways you can support the work of this important human service and advocacy agency, including becoming a member, donor, corporate sponsor, and volunteering. Western Equality is sustained with hundreds of hours of volunteer dedication by western Colorado community members who are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, life-affirming community for all regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression.
With so many ways to contribute, there's something for everyone. Whether you want to donate time each week, or only intermittently, some of the most common ways to get involved include:
Volunteer Staff Positions:
• Office Assistant
• Event Coordinator
• Resource Directory Assistant
• Grant Writer
• Healthy Living Volunteer
• Communications Assistant
Serving on one of numerous committees:
• Development and Fundraising
• Programs (Works with AmeriCorps staff)
• Marketing and Communications
• Events and Membership
Assisting from time-to-time with:
• Office work (data entry, organizing mailings)
• Special events including Masquerade, Pridefest West, and OutFest
• Lending Library
• Farmer's Market Festival booth
