ABOUT MEMBERSHIP
Our members include a broad-based, diverse coalition of persons who share a common goal (see mission statement.) Membership includes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied community members; members of Western Colorado PFLAG; activists from all political parties; and significant participation from faith communities.
For a minimal annual donation members receive discounted admission to annual fundraising events and receive our bi-monthly newsletter OutWest. More importantly, members receive voting privileges to choose our Board of Directors (elected annually in February) and financially support the vital work that the Board and its committees are charged to carry-out. This includes support to and networking within the social justice community; safe-schools initiatives; a GLBTA youth support group; maintaining a physical presence in Mesa County at our downtown Grand Junction office; promoting cultural diversity projects; and presentation of the award winning multimedia program Journey to a Hate Free Millennium throughout the Grand Valley.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
In addition to the work mentioned above, Western Equality continues to address controversial issues such as homophobia in an extremely conservative community; to fight for basic civil liberties in housing, employment, and public accommodations for LGBT persons; and to serve as a voice for those within our community who cannot (for professional or personal reasons) speak for themselves. We need your support to continue this important work. Your paid membership, or other donation, will insure that Western Equality continues to offer resources and foster positive public-policy changes for everyone.
